Rwanda IGF Multistakeholder Advisory Group

Organizing and coordination committee for Rwanda's Internet governance initiatives.

The Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) serves as the organizing and coordination committee for Rwanda's Internet governance initiatives, including the Rwanda IGF, Youth IGF, Parliamentarian IGF, and Rwanda School on Internet Governance (RwSIG).

The MAG brings together stakeholders from government, civil society, private sector, academia, and the technical community to facilitate inclusive Internet governance dialogue and collaboration in Rwanda.

How to Become a MAG Member

2.1 Eligibility and Selection Principles

Individuals from different stakeholder groups with interest or experience in Internet governance, digital policy, technology, research, community development, or related fields may apply or be nominated to serve on the MAG.

2.2 Selection Principles

The selection of MAG members is guided by multistakeholder representation, relevant expertise and experience in Internet governance and related fields, and a strong commitment to inclusion and diversity. The process ensures youth inclusion, gender balance, inclusion of persons with disabilities (PWDs), and equitable representation across Rwanda's districts.

Secretariat (Host Organisation)

Currently, the Secretariat function of the National Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) is hosted by the Rwanda Internet Community and Technology Alliance (RICTA). In this role, RICTA provides operational and administrative support to the MAG and facilitates the coordination of Rwanda's Internet governance initiatives. This includes communication, documentation, logistics, stakeholder coordination, and day-to-day management of activities.

The Secretariat supports MAG decisions and coordinates the smooth execution of Rwanda IGF programs.
